CFA crews have responded to reports of a factory fire on Knight Court in Kyneton at around 3pm today, 6 January.
10 CFA units are responding from Kyneton, Lancefield, Woodend, Malmsbury, Carlsruhe and Tylden, alongside FRV crews.
The fire appears to have started inside the roof space of the double storey industrial factory. It's understood the factory contains meat.
The fire is causing a large amount of smoke and an advice message has been issued for Kyneton on VicEmergency.
Approximately 50 people were safely evacuated.
Crews are conducting an internal fire attack in an attempt to contain the fire to the roof space.
Incident is still ongoing as at 3.55pm.
