Crews Respond to Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Stuart Town

A man has died, and two women are injured, following a single-vehicle crash in state's central west.

Just before 11.50am (Sunday 19 February 2023), emergency services were called to Burrendong Way, Stuart Town – approximately 55km north of Orange – following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District found a car had crashed down an embankment.

The driver of the car – a man believed to be aged in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two female passengers – both believed to be aged in their 20s – were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before one was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition, and the other taken by road in a stable condition.

Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
