Critical Incident in Sydney's West After Man Injured

A critical incident investigation is underway after a man was seriously injured in Sydney's west today.

About 5.45am (Saturday 22 February 2025), officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended Matthew Bell Way, Jordan Springs, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Officers attempted to speak to a man within a vehicle when he became injured.

The 45-year-old man was treated by police at the scene before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical, but stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A critical incident team from Blacktown Police Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation will be subject to an independent review.
