The atmosphere was lively on Friday night as The Cube Wodonga launched the 2025 season to an audience of theatre lovers.
The 2025 season promises to be memorable with a program packed full of diverse and exciting acts that offer something for everyone.
From award-winning cabaret shows, internationally acclaimed directors, talented musicians and hilarious comedians, this season is bursting with creativity, talent and inspiration.
This season will officially kick off with IG Big Swing Band on Sunday February 9, a cabaret style tribute performance celebrating the late Ivan Gellie's contribution to the local music scene.
Wodonga Council's Team Leader The Cube Wodonga Rebecca Bennell said the 2025 season showcased a diverse line-up of performances that celebrate talent, creativity, and connection.
"This year's program is packed with extraordinary performances, with local gems to world-class acts, there's something to inspire and captivate everyone," she said.
"We're thrilled to see the return of some of our popular shows such as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and announce the inclusion of new performances including FLOP, Aunty and Imagine - a new children's show based on the Alicen Lester book."
The Cube Wodonga continues to collaborate with Hothouse Theatre and the Albury Entertainment Centre with shared member benefits.
The three unique venues work together to present a diverse range of performances, providing a variety of vibrant cultural experiences for the whole community.
Ms Bennell also said supporting local artists is always a priority for the team at The Cube Wodonga.
"The North-East region is home to an abundance of talented artists and The Cube Wodonga will continue to showcase and support our home-grown talent, celebrating the creativity we have within our community."
2024 was a stellar year for The Cube, which hosted over 440 events, sold more than 15,000 tickets and attracted over 130,000 visitors.
"Last year we saw strong growth in our audiences and we are looking forward to even more people discovering the remarkable shows in the 2025 line-up," Ms Bennell said.
The Cube Wodonga's 2025 season is supported by Creative Victoria through its Regional Partnerships Fund.
