We know pets are often treated as family members so they will now be able to curl up in the same cabins as their owners.
Each new Spirit of Tasmania vessel will have 18 new cabins for those wanting their pets to join them on the journey across Bass Strait.
The new ships will also feature fit for purpose kennel areas with climate control to keep your pets comfortable during the crossing.
If snuggling up with your pets is not your thing, you'll be able to monitor them on CCTV and have access to them throughout the trip.
The Tasmanian Liberal Government very much looks forward to the first of the two Spirits sailing up the Mersey in the not too distant future.
