Cyclist Dies In Port Melbourne Collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a cyclist was allegedly killed in a collision in Port Melbourne this evening.

It is alleged a car collided with the cyclist on Plummer Street before driving off just after 8pm.

Sadly, the yet to be formally identified cyclist died at the scene.

The offending driver came forward shortly after and is currently in custody.

The exact circumstances are yet to be determined, and investigations remain ongoing.
