Police are on the scene of a fatal cyclist accident in the state’s Southern Tablelands, NSW Police say.
Just before 10pm yesterday, (Sunday 19 November 2017), police were called to Oallen Ford Road, Bungonia, east of Goulburn, after a 67-year-old male cyclist was found deceased on the roadway.
Police from The Hume Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Police from the Crash Investigation Unit are on scene conducting inquiries.
At this stage the exact circumstances of the incident are unclear. It is possible the cyclist was struck by a vehicle which left the scene, collided with wildlife, or came off his bike for some other reason.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have information on the circumstances to contact police immediately.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
