Cyclists targeted by driver at North Haven, South Australia

Several cyclists have reported being targeted by an aggressive driver in a stolen vehicle at North Haven this week.

Between 6.30am and 7am on Thursday 5 August, in separate incidents, three cyclists were struck or forced off the road by a white sedan as they were riding in the bike lane along Lady Gowrie Drive, North Haven.

A member of the public witnessed the first incident, in which a cyclist was thrown off his bicycle onto the verge, causing bruising and grazes.

In a second incident a cyclist was forced off the road into the dirt verge. The cyclist then witnessed a third cyclist being hit by the same car, causing him to be thrown off his bike. The bicycle was significantly damaged.

Police are looking for a white 2003 Ford Fairmont sedan, registration XFI869, which may have damage to the front bumper. Investigations have revealed that the vehicle was allegedly stolen at the time of the offence. If sighted, please contact police immediately on 131 444 or Triple Zero in an emergency.
