Loudoun's Bridge on the Moonie Highway just south west of Dalby is closed to all traffic due to flooding.
The bridge is overtopped with water and the northern approach has been significantly damaged, with much of the road surface being washed out.
The bridge is expected to be closed for at least a few days and heavy vehicle drivers are asked to reconsider their route until further notice.
Once the water recedes, inspectors will determine the extent of the damage and a likely re-open date.
In the meantime, for up-to-date information on road closures around the state, visit the QLDTraffic website or call 13 19 40.
