Patrick McCormick has been named Senior Vice President for Hospital Transformation at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, effective September 3, 2024.
In this new position, he will lead the planning, development, and start-up of the proposed future cancer hospital and collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians.
He will also help develop strategies to expand and integrate adult inpatient operating services to ensure seamless transitions of care.

McCormick is a highly skilled and collaborative leader with deep experience growing medical campuses and a successful record of building high-functioning teams that align on shared vision and common goals.
Most recently, he worked at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Knight Cancer Institute in Portland, OR, as Vice President for Oncology Services, leading the operations of the clinical cancer program and co-managing the Cancer Business Unit, which aligns cancer strategy and operations across OHSU Healthcare, School of Medicine, and Research missions. He also led key initiatives focused on care management and coordination, patient navigation, and value-based care, including the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation's Oncology Care Model.
At OHSU, McCormick co-led the design and implementation of an ambulatory building that includes cancer clinics and treatment units, an early phase clinical trial unit, and a separate patient housing building. He most recently served as the hospital administrator overseeing a new 500,000 square-foot OHSU inpatient addition that includes 128 beds for cellular therapy, cancer medicine, and complex surgery with additional floors for future growth.
McCormick is a graduate of Simon Fraser University and received an MBA from the University of Findlay.
