Police have charged a man after he allegedly drove at high speed in an unregistered vehicle in Moreton Bay overnight.
It will be alleged a grey Holden Commodore bearing false registration plates was observed by police on Dean Street in Bray Park at 10.45pm (January 31).
Police have attempted to intercept the car, however it failed to stop and sped off.
Polair has tracked the vehicle and it was observed to cross to the wrong side of the road on multiple occasions, causing motorists in the oncoming lanes to swerve.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Winn Road at Cashmere, however the car has allegedly continued driving east with two deflated tyres.
The vehicle was brought to a stop on Dayboro Road in Whiteside and has reversed into two police vehicles, before the driver was arrested at 11.40pm.
No one was injured during the incident.
The driver has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, evade police, unlicensed driving, drive unregistered vehicle, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property (registration plates), fail to take reasonable care and precaution in respect of a syringe and two counts of possess dangerous drug (methylamphetamine).
A 38-year-old Narangba man is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
