Dangerous Operation Of Motor Vehicle, Avondale

Police have charged a man following a serious traffic crash involving a stolen vehicle at Avondale, northwest of Bundaberg, on Monday, December 30.

It will be alleged that on Thursday, December 19, an Isuzu D-Max utility was stolen from a Nerang business carpark.

It will be further alleged that around 11:30am yesterday, the Isuzu was travelling along Rosedale Rd at Avondale before colliding with a white Holden Commodore.

The driver and sole occupant of the Holden, a 66-year-old Deepwater man, was transported to Bundaberg Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 33-year-old Highland Park man, the driver and sole occupant of the Isuzu, has been charged with three counts of possess dangerous drugs, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possess drug utensils.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 20.
