Daughters Of West Returns For 2024

Daughters of the West is back for 2024, educating and inspiring women to prioritise their health and wellbeing.

The free 10-week program starts the week of July 15, and will in held in four locations across Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong, including at the new-look Brooklyn Community Hall for the first time.

Run in partnership with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, participants hear from local experts to learn more about different aspects of health, and are empowered to prioritise their wellbeing.

Each session includes an hour of movement with an exercise physiologist and personal trainer, supported by student exercise physiologists, tailored to each participant's ability.

This year, sessions will be held:

  • Mondays, 1pm to 3pm at Laverton Community Hub

  • Tuesdays, 6.30pm to 8.30pm at RecWest Footscray

  • Wednesdays, 7pm to 9pm at Brooklyn Community Hall (just off Millers Road)

  • Thursdays, 10.15am to 12.15pm at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre
