Toowoomba Region artist David Carson's abstract and enhanced photographic images will be displayed at Goombungee's Rosalie Gallery from June 26 to July 21, 2024.
David's exhibition, Today Is My Moment, provides an insight into why 'today is his moment', with diverse images in an abstract form and enhanced photographic images taken from the natural world and portraiture.
The exhibition is an expression of his gratitude for the chance to share his unique works and be involved with the community after recently moving to the area.
Having been denied an opportunity to learn an expressive art form while younger, David has seized his chance in retirement to experiment with how visual art could be produced digitally from photographs he had taken and from his own ideas.
David was encouraged to participate in an annual competition by an art gallery in his former town, giving him the confidence to continue developing his practice.
