The Australian Energy Council (AEC), the peak body for energy retailers and generators, congratulates David Janetzki, MP, on his appointment as Queensland's Minister for Energy and Treasurer.
Louisa Kinnear, Chief Executive of the Australian Energy Council, said Mr Janetzki's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Queensland, as the state progresses with its energy transition and efforts to maintain reliability and affordability and meet increasing energy demands.
"Mr Janetzki's appointment as Treasurer and his previous role as Shadow Minister for Investment and Trade will be invaluable as Queensland invests in critical energy projects," Ms Kinnear said.
"The AEC looks forward to collaborating with Mr Janetzki to build a stronger, more dependable energy system."
