David Latina will lead the Anti-Dumping Commission for the next five years, bringing substantial industry experience to the role.
Minister for Industry and Science, Ed Husic, has announced the appointment of Mr Latina, who will draw on his extensive expertise working with business and industry across various roles to build local manufacturing capability.
He has previously held senior positions with the Victorian Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, Small Business Victoria, Deloitte, and the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Mr Latina most recently developed a new, long-term vision for the Victorian manufacturing sector through the Made in Victoria 2030: Manufacturing Statement.
Mr Latina replaces Dr Bradley Armstrong PSM, who retired in February. The ADC's Deputy Commissioner, Isolde Lueckenhausen has been acting in the position in the interim.
The Albanese Government is committed to a robust, evidence-based anti-dumping system to protect Australian workers and businesses from unfair trade practices.
The ADC's independent monitoring and investigations are the bedrock of Australia's efforts to ensure compliance with the rules-based global trading system.
Mr Latina is expected to take up his role as Commissioner in January.
