Cricket Victoria executive David White has been appointed General Manager of the San Francisco Unicorns, one of the six foundation franchises in Major League Cricket.
White, who was most recently Cricket Victoria's General Manager of Community Cricket, will relocate to San Francisco in the new year to oversee the club's operations and growth.
The appointment is part of Cricket Victoria's broader partnership with the Unicorns.
"It's a really exciting time to be involved in Major League Cricket after a successful first season," White said.
"There is a growing cricket appetite in the United States and it's a strategically important market for the game from a global perspective.
"I'm looking forward to working closely with the Unicorns owners, fans and players ahead of the second season."
Liam Murphy will assume the role of General Manager of Community and Premier Cricket at Cricket Victoria.
Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins said the appointment further reinforced the connection between the entities.
"David has broad experience across commercial, community and fan engagement and will be a real asset in the ongoing development of the Unicorns and their brand in the Bay Area sport market."
