The Swan Hill Regional Library is excited to announce the launch of A Day on the Brine, the latest book by award-winning author Susea Spray. This highly anticipated sequel to A Big Blue Boat will be launched at the Swan Hill Library on Saturday, 1 March at 10:30am. Additionally, readers can get an exclusive sneak peek at the Robinvale Library on Thursday, 27 February at 10:30am.
Camillie Cullinan, Manager of Swan Hill Regional Libraries, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming events. "We are thrilled that Susea Spray has chosen to launch A Day on the Brine at the Swan Hill Library and offer an exclusive sneak peek to the Robinvale community."
Susea, a retired teacher living on a large blue sailing boat, discovered her writing voice for children after she began her sailing adventure in 2013.
"Her first book, A Big Blue Boat, captivated audiences both young and old. We eagerly await the next adventure she will take us on in her new book," said Ms. Cullinan.
Ms. Cullinan explained that A Day on the Brine follows the adventures of a sailor who loves to explore the sea.
"Readers of all ages will be treated to a rhythmic and engaging narrative that transports them to the wonders of life on the water.
The talented Emma Stuart has illustrated the story, and through her vibrant illustrations, Susea's words are brought to life. They make a transformative duo!" added Ms Cullinan.
Ms. Cullinan noted that this will be Susea's second visit to the region, and that she will be attending both events taking place at the Robinvale and Swan Hill Libraries.
"At both our libraries, Susea will share her new book with the audience. Participants will also have the opportunity to sing songs and engage in craft activities with her," explained Ms Cullinan.
A Day on the Brine will be on sale at both events.
