Applications for Ararat Rural City Council's Community Grants Program close soon. With a closing date set for 2 February 2025, community groups and organisations are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline.
Local groups are encouraged to submit applications for grants of up to $5,000 on a two-for-one basis across four distinct categories: sports/recreation and health/well-being, culture and arts, environment and sustainability, and events.
Council's Community Grants Program provides funding to clubs, organisations and community groups for the provision of programs, projects, activities, and events. The program proudly champions community-led initiatives to increase engagement in sports and recreation, cultural events, arts accessibility, and sustainability initiatives.
Under this grants scheme, funds totaling $6,935 have been recently awarded to three local organisations including Ararat Basketball Association for new uniforms for encourage more female players, Mt William Polo Club to support a tournament event, and Pomonal Primary School's November art show.
"This program supports local community-led initiatives that make a real difference. We've seen some great projects come to fruition" says Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison.
"Applications for the current round close soon, and we encourage all local groups to take advantage of this opportunity and submit your applications today."
Applications for the Ararat Rural City Council's Community Grants Program close on 2 February 2025, at 5:00 PM. Interested groups can apply online at www.ararat.vic.gov.au or obtain hard copy applications from municipal offices.
