Police from the Ethical Standards Command are investigating the death of a man following an incident at Maryborough this morning, July 27.
Initial information indicates around 11:50am, emergency services were called to a welfare check on Alice Street, where they found a man in his 30s acting erratically.
Officers were able to restrain the man, before he was medically sedated and transported to an ambulance.
The man has then experienced a medical episode, before he was declared deceased a short time later.
The man's death is under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner and is subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
