The Kinimathatakinta/George Town Community Hub is celebrating a ten-year milestone of providing important services to locals.
The Hub brings together Libraries Tasmania, Service Tasmania, and the Child and Family Learning Centre (CFLC), providing residents with a one-stop shop for a wide range of Tasmanian Government services.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said the Hub is an important place for the community to access services and resources.
"The staff at the Hub take pride in supporting the entire community and offering safe, welcoming spaces that foster learning, health, and wellbeing," Minister Palmer said.
"The library and CFLC play an essential role in lifelong learning by supporting children, young people and their families with literacy and other skills from early learning stages, through school and into adulthood.
"We know how important our CFLCs are to our communities which is why we've committed $32 million to deliver four new supersized CFLCs as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future."
The Kinimathatakinta/George Town Community Hub officially opened its doors on 14 December 2014, bringing together a range of services under the one roof.
There will be a 10-year celebratory event held at the Hub on Monday 16 December at 11am.
