Deceased Man Identified After Campbellfield Homicide

Homicide Squad detectives have identified a man who died in Campbellfield on 20 December.

Police responded following reports a man had been shot outside a property in Gentles Avenue, on Friday 20 December, about 10.10pm.

The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Craigieburn man Mahmoud Karam, who died in hospital from his injuries.

Two men remain under police guard in hospital and are yet to be interviewed in relation to the incident.

The pair, a 20-year-old from Yarraville and a 22-year-old from Westmeadows, came to police attention after being dropped off at a hospital with injuries.

Detectives have also released CCTV of a Porsche which was located burnt-out in Northbourne Road in Campbellfield just after 11pm on 20 December and is believed to be linked to the incident.

At this stage it is believed the incident was targeted.
