As put by Pentagon Spokesman Lt. Col. Garron Garn, USMC:
Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Ms. Amanda Dory, will travel to Germany and the United Kingdom October 7-9. On October 7, she will begin her trip in Berlin, where she will participate in a strategic dialogue with her German counterpart in the Ministry of Defense, Dr. Jasper Wieck. Her visit underscores the strong bilateral defense relationship between the United States and Germany – a partnership defined by robust military cooperation through NATO and a shared commitment to maintaining pace and stability in Europe and beyond.
Germany remains closely aligned with the United States on the most pressing issues of our foreign policy agenda, including support for Ukraine and Israel and managing the complex relationship with the People's Republic of China. Strategic dialogues ensure the two nations continue in lockstep to navigate these challenges together.
Ms. Dory will then travel to the United Kingdom where she will join British and Norwegian counterparts to finalize a framework for U.S.– UK – Norway trilateral multidomain cooperation. She will have bilateral meetings with her British and Norwegian counterparts to discuss a range of issues important in the respective bilateral defense relationships.
There remains no closer defensive alliance than between the United States and the UK, and Ms. Dory's engagements demonstrate the closeness of this "special relationship."
Additional information will be posted to "releases" when it becomes available.
