The Albanese Government continues to invest in high impact local projects across the Bega Valley through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI).
As part of this, $715,000 in federal funding under Phase 4 of LRCI is supporting major path and landscaping improvements at the Barclay Street Recreation Precinct in Eden.
This builds on $400,000 previously invested in an all abilities playground in the precinct.
Around 150 metres of shared path is being installed, better linking the newly installed accessible playground, skate park, toilets and car parks.
The precinct upgrade is being delivered in partnership with the NSW Government, and Bega Valley Shire Council.
LRCI is an Australian Government initiative aimed at supporting all Australian councils to deliver projects, create jobs and long-lasting benefits for communities.
Over $1.9 million has been delivered to Bega Valley Shire Council under Phase 4 of LRCI - with all projects expected to be completed by 30 June 2025.
