Delivering new schools to a growing city

The ACT Government is continuing to plan for and invest in Canberra's future by building new public schools in growing regions.

"Gungahlin is one of the fastest growing regions in the country and more Canberra families are choosing public education."

"Public school student numbers in ACT public schools continue to increase by around three percent each year and the government will continue planning for student growth across Canberra," Minister for Education and Youth Affairs Yvette Berry said.

"The government is committed to doing the heavy lifting when it comes to action on climate change. These new and expanded public schools will operate with zero carbon emissions–contributing to the government's net zero emissions target by 2045."
