Denmark Fund Awards for Green Research

Technical University of Denmark

The Independent Research Fund Denmark is awarding a total of DKK 132 million to 42 research projects that will promote the green transition.

The seven grant recipients

  • Senior Researcher Hamid Nick, DTU Offshore, receives the grant for the project 'BioHydroSalt: Role of biological and transport processes in controlling microbial loss of stored hydrogen in salt caverns'.
  • Professor Jeppe Rich, DTU Management, receives the grant for the project 'Navigating the Path to Sustainable Transport Infrastructure (NaPSTI)'.
  • Associate Professor Jerrik Mielby, DTU Chemistry, receives the grant for the project 'Data-Driven Development of High-Entropy Catalysts for CO2 Utilization'.
  • Associate Professor Jonas Sundberg, DTU Engineering Technology, receives the grant for the project 'Advanced Nano-Resonators for High-Resolution Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Lakes and Wetlands'.
  • Professor Lars Jelsbak, DTU Bioengineering, receives the grant for the project 'Disarming a bacterial plant pathogen: microbial degradation of virulence factors for control of Pseudomonas syringae diseases'.
  • Professor Rasmus Bjørk, DTU Energy, receives the grant for the project 'The next generation permanent magnet for the green transition'.
  • Assistant Professor Tilman Weckesser, DTU Wind, receives the grant for the project 'Resilient Operation of Active Distribution Networks Dominated Power Systems'.
