Bayside Council is restoring the small retaining wall at the northern end of Depena Reserve, Dolls Point with sandstone blocks.
This work, to be undertaken by Council's City Works Team, will include replacing the existing retaining wall with sandstone blocks, landscaping behind the wall to remove excess blown sand, creating a pathway connecting the stairs to the shared walkway and returfing behind the wall and surrounding areas.
Pedestrian access will be restricted with temporary fencing, for the duration of the works which are expected to start in late August and be completed by October 2024.
This is part of Council's ongoing maintenance program, and the work will take place during the sand nourishment project to minimise the effect of beach erosion.
