Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen H. Hicks met with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission to discuss the U.S.-EU partnership. The two spoke about shared transatlantic security challenges. Dr. Hicks also recognized the importance of stronger European unity for the security and prosperity of the Euro-Atlantic area.
