Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met today in Tokyo with Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Mori Takeo to reaffirm the vital importance of the U.S.-Japan alliance in promoting peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. The Deputy Secretary and Vice Foreign Minister exchanged ideas to further deepen cooperation between the United States and Japan. They also discussed shared efforts to promote regional and global security.
