Derby Detectives have charged a man in relation to an incident in Derby on Saturday 19 October 2024, which left a 40-year-old man seriously injured.
About 9:00pm, police were called to a residence on Hanson Street, Derby, in relation to a male person being injured.
Police and St John WA personnel attended the scene.
Upon arrival, a 40-year-old man was located unconscious on the driveway of the residence.
He was provided emergency first aid and was taken to Derby Hospital by St John WA, before being transferred to Broome Hospital. He has since been flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and remains in Royal Perth Hospital.
A 35-year-old man from Derby has been charged with 'Grievous Bodily Harm'. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Derby Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 21 October 2024.
