Designs Released For Brand New Darwin Pre-school

NT Government

The Lawler Labor Government continues to invest in high quality education facilities for our children.

Multiple milestones have been reached in the development of the new Parap Pre-school, with demolition of the old site nearing completion and the designs for the new education facility being released.

The $10 million project has been designed by Rossi Architects. From the road, the new building design resembles the wings of an aeroplane, reminiscent of the sites aviation origins, while the inside boasts modern learning spaces with high ceilings and plenty of natural light.

The large outdoor space features a playground covered by a solid shade structure set on soft rubber flooring, vegetable gardens, wall murals, water features and greenery spread across the entire play area.

The new state-of-the-art preschool will include a carpark with 18 bays and be able to accommodate 66 students and follows the Lawler Labor Government's landmark $1 billion deal fully funding Territory Education.

It is expected demolition will finish in the coming weeks with a construction tender due to be released this month.
