Detectives Appeal For Witnesses After Lyndhurst Fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Lyndhurst last week.

Emergency services were called to the Westernport Highway to reports of a collision involving two cars and a truck about 4.40pm on Wednesday, 11 December.

It is believed a grey Mercedes Benz, a silver Kio Rio and a white Isuzu truck were travelling south along the highway between Glassocks Road and Thompsons Road when the collision occurred.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 66-year-old Cranbourne man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Kia and the driver of the truck were not seriously injured.

The collision caused major delays along the Westernport Highway.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, and anyone with dash cam footage.
