Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an investigation into the large commercial supply of drugs – including heroin – across NSW under Strike Force Windle.
Strike Force Windle was established by State Crime Command's Organised Crime Squad in March 2024 to investigate the large commercial supply of drugs across NSW by a 45-year-old man.
Following extensive inquiries, about 2.45pm yesterday (Thursday 1 August 2024), strike force detectives – with assistance of Raptor Squad – arrested the man in Arndell Park.
During a search of the man and his vehicle, police located and seized 700 grams of heroin and $120,000 in cash.
Subsequent search warrants were then executed in Plumpton and North Rocks, where police located a further 1.5kg of an unknown powder.
The man was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity, and two counts of supply prohibited drug
He was refused bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court today (Friday 8 August 2024).
Police will allege in court the man is linked to a sophisticated Organised Crime Network hailing from Nigeria and South America, involved in the importation and supply of prohibited drugs.
