Detectives Investigate Blackburn Carjacking

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a carjacking in Blackburn South last night.

The victim, sole occupant of a silver Nissan two door coupe, pulled up their car at the intersection of Katrina Street and Koonung Road about 7.45pm.

A second vehicle collided with the rear of the Nissan, before the victim got out to assess the damage and exchange details.

The front passenger from the second vehicle confronted the victim, producing a knife and snatching away their car keys.

The offender stole the Nissan and took off in convoy with the second vehicle.

The victim was not physically injured.

Despite a thorough search of the area, the offenders and vehicles were not located.

The investigation remains ongoing.
