Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing investigations into a fatal collision in Woolsthorpe yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Warrnambool-Caramut Road after a van and a sedan collided and caught fire about 5.15pm on 10 January.
The driver of the van, a 30-year-old Sunshine man, and the passenger of the sedan, an 18-year-old man from the Moyne area, were pulled from their cars by passers-by.
Sadly the 42-year-old sedan driver, from the Moyne area, died at the scene.
Both the van driver and the sedan passenger sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospital for treatment.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and investigations remain ongoing.
