Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following a fatal car crash in Tooradin last night.
It is believed a silver 2009 Jeep Wrangler with three occupants was travelling south on South Gippsland Highway when the driver lost control and left the road at Baxter Tooradin Road before rolling just after 8.30pm.
The rear seat male passenger, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The deceased is described as aged in his 30s to 40s with a shaved head, partially bald and facial hair.
He has a distinctive tattoo of an eagle on his left forearm and wearing a red, black and yellow beaded bracelet.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone that may have information on the man's identity.
The driver, a 38-year-old man and front seat passenger, a 34-year-old man were taken to hospital where they remain with non-life-threatening injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision and crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
