Detectives Investigate Home Invasion In Carlton

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a home invasion in Carlton in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is believed two unknown males riding their pushbikes stopped outside a residential premises on Drummond Street when a verbal altercation occurred between the occupants and the two unknown males about 1.30am.

One of the occupants confronted the two males before they pushed past him entering the premises and damaging numerous items inside and assaulting the occupant.

A 22-year-old Carlton man/teen received a minor injury not requiring medical treatment.

Both males fled the scene northbound on Drummond Street.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and an image of two males who may be able to assist with enquiries.

The first male is perceived to be to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s, wearing a black hoodie, green/khaki pants and baseball cap.

The second male is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s, wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, baseball cap and backpack.
