Detectives Seek Witnesses in Forest Hill Stabbing

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a stabbing at a Forest Hill shopping centre on 27 December.

Emergency services were called to reports of an altercation between a group of males in a shopping centre carpark on Mahoneys Road about 6.50pm

A 16-year-old boy was found with stab wounds and conveyed to hospital in a critical condition, where he remains in the intensive care unit.

The offenders fled the scene prior to police arriving.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Investigators are keen to speak with persons who were in the car park at the time of the incident - particularly the drivers and occupants of a white Hyundai Santa Fe, silver Toyota Corolla, a black Mazda 3 and a white utility that were seen entering the car park at this time.

Additionally, detectives are keen to speak with a witness who notified the centre management of the altercation.
