Two dining pods located in George Street, Robinvale will be moved next week so that they can benefit other community spaces in the Robinvale area.
The dining pods were a Council initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, where they successfully assisted local businesses with alternative dining options.
The dining pods have provided a great resting space to the community over the last three years, and the time has now come for them to be relocated and shared across other areas in the community.
Council has received some feedback with regards to rubbish where they are currently situated, and will work with the community in an effort to minimise this.
Leah Johnston, Director Infrastructure said the great thing about the dining pods was their ability to be relocated and shared across other community sites.
"The dining pods can be positioned in different zones, parks or street scapes for a week, a month or a year," she said.
"Relocating the dining pods will provide best value, and offer alternative resting places, to our whole community," she added.
