Do you have a child ready for kindergarten in 2026? Wyndham City is holding two open days at kindergartens operated by Council and a variety of other providers for you to visit and explore.
Families can visit any of the participating kindergartens on Wednesday 5 March between 5pm - 7pm to help choose where to register your child for 2026.
A second open day will be held on Saturday 3 May 2025 between 9.30am - 12.30pm.
All children who turn three years-old by 30 April 2026 are eligible to attend a kindergarten program in 2026.
Registrations for 2026 will open online on 11 March 2025. You have until Saturday 31 May 2025 to submit your registration to be included in the first round of offers.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said families could register any time during this period to be included in the first round of offers, noting that kindergarten places were not allocated on a first come, first served basis.
"Kindergarten lays the foundation for a child's lifelong learning and development," Cr Shaw said.
"It's essential for families to explore their options and find a program that suits their child's needs."
"Our open days provide a wonderful chance for parents and carers to ask questions, interact and understand the benefits of kindergarten, and make well-informed decisions."
