Jump into the magic of the Summer Reading Adventure these school holidays with The Hills Shire Library Service.
Running now until 31 January 2022, the Summer Reading Adventure is open to library members aged between 5 and 14 years.
All participants will receive a Summer Reading Adventure booklet to keep track of their reading throughout the holidays, packed full of fun challenges and activities to complete in exchange for a reward.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said the annual program aims to encourage school-aged children to keep reading during the holidays, while celebrating this year's theme of Worlds of Wonder.
"Our library branches are stocked full of thrilling books that will take young readers on extraordinary adventures to discover worlds of wonder this summer," Mayor Byrne said.
"Reading is a great way to encourage children to use their imagination, continue learning, and provide some much needed school holiday entertainment.
"I encourage families to get involved in this wonderful initiative," Mayor Byrne added.
