The Australian Doctors Reform Society today supported the Labor governments Medicare Bulk Billing incentive proposals because they believe it will help doctors Bulk Bill patients and keep health costs down.
"I have been a GP for over 48 years and I believe Labors increased Medicare Bulk Billing incentive will help many GPs to bulk bill their patients and treat their patients without any up front cost"said Dr Robert Marr OAM spokeman for the Australian Doctors Reform Society
"Many GPs stopped Bulk Billing all their patients as a result of the previous Liberal governments freezing of Medicare rebates"said Dr Marr
"Labors target of 90% bulk billed doctors visits will require continual reform of Medicare and no more Medicare rebate freezes as occurred in the previous Liberal governments time"said Dr Marr
