The Department of Defense (DOD) announced this week, two listening sessions to solicit input from the public on its environmental justice (EJ) strategy.
DOD is updating its EJ Strategy in accordance with Executive Order (E.O.) 14096, Revitalizing Our Nation's Commitment to Environmental Justice for All, and to pursue a whole-of-government approach to advancing EJ.
To ensure community needs and concerns are heard, the Department has scheduled the following listening sessions on June 25 and 27, 2024. During the sessions, DOD will briefly discuss its draft goals and overall approach to implementing EJ across the Department's policies, programs, and other activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to provide input on the Department's draft EJ goals and approach.
