Residents are advised that the dog agility equipment has been removed from off-leash area in Queen Elizabeth Park.

The equipment was installed in July 2021 as part of the Queen Elizabeth Park redevelopment, and funded by Council and the NSW Government through the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

Council's Chief Assets & Projects Officer, Codie Howard, said the removal of the equipment was a result of feedback received from park users.

"Council has received ongoing feedback from users about the agility equipment not being suitable at this location," said Mr Howard.

"We want to see this equipment available for the community to use, but we need to ensure it is in a location that meets the needs of our residents.

"Initial assessments were done to try and keep the equipment in Queen Elizabeth Park, with consideration of moving the equipment to the Northern end, however this was deemed unsuitable.

"We'll now consider alternative locations and look to reinstall the equipment at a later date."
