Dog Sale No Trick, Just Howl-o-ween Treat

Townsville residents in search of a dog or puppy are in for a sweet treat, with the Animal Care and Adoption Centre's howl-o-ween sale running now through to Saturday 2 November.

Townsville Mayor Troy Thompson said with dog and puppy adoptions at a discounted $150, Council was hoping to find loving homes for our furry friends.

"If you've been looking for a loyal companion, I urge the community not to go past the Animal Care and Adoption Centre," Cr Thompson said.

"There are some amazing dogs up for adoption looking for a loving home.

"Not only are most of these animals looking for a second chance at life, but they all come desexed, wormed, microchipped and have had their first vaccination."

Mayor Thompson said Council encourages responsible pet ownership and people need to understand that adopting a pet is a long-term decision.
