The man was not injured.
The offenders fled the scene in the black Commodore with no plates and was last seen driving south on Huntingdale Road.
Morticia the dog, a white Staffordshire Bull terrier cross, was reunited with her owners this evening.
It's understood the dog was located on Huntingdale Road and taken to the RSPCA before going home.
