Domestic Violence Arrest At Rockhampton

Detectives from the Capricornia District Vulnerable Persons Unit, with the assistance of specialised units, have charged a 31-year-old Berserker man following investigations into alleged serious domestic violence incidents that occurred in Rockhampton last week.

Yesterday afternoon, officers attended a Berserker address and the man was taken into custody without incident.

The 31-year-old Berserker man has been charged with two counts each of assaults occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence), and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (domestic violence offence).

He has also been charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of offence to possess s4 medicines, and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, authority required to possess explosives, possessing utensils, and receiving tainted property.

Police will allege the incidents occurred between Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, August 6.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 8.
