"Don’t worry, we’re gonna free Iran," U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday said at a campaign rally for Democratic Rep. Mike Levin.
It was not clear if his comments reflect anything discussed during intelligence briefings or were just emotional reaction in the light of what is happening in Iran.
"They’re gonna free themselves pretty soon," he quickly added without elaboration.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, who had long sought to launch preemptive strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities, has just won a decisive victory to retake the premiership soon.
Time will tell if Biden's comments were intelligence slip but Israel and the U.S. would hardly find an opportunity better than this to make the move as Iran's bloody crackdown on the most widespread anti-regime protests and its increasing role in Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine are uniting the world against the Islamic Republic.
