The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) will be the feature exhibitor at this year’s Australian National Field Days to be held from 25 to 27 October at Borenore.
DPI’s Director General, Scott Hansen said the Department is looking forward to showcasing how DPI has been with NSW every step of the way.
"From humble beginnings to world class pioneers in research and development, DPI continues to work with our communities to drive economic growth and productivity across the state," Mr Hansen said.
"Working with regional communities during key historical events, DPI is currently assisting farmers through these difficult times and will stand side by side with primary producers in the good times to come.
"Our exhibit at the Field Days will showcase our past, present and future impact on primary industries, and will include drought assistance information, cutting edge research and development, and farm productivity advancements.
"Visitors can learn more about our activities in cropping, horticulture, forestry, weeds and pests, emergency management and fishing, while being able to talk to our Young Farmer Business Program, School Education and Rural Women’s Network teams.
"DPI is honoured to be the 2018 feature exhibitor at the Australian National Field Days as it will allow us to further connect with producers and communities in regional NSW. I encourage everyone to come along and visit us over the three days."
The Australian National Field Days was established in 1952 and is the oldest annual agricultural exhibition in the country. It showcases the latest developments in agriculture from businesses and industry across NSW.
Visitors can see the DPI feature exhibit at site C1-5 at field days.
