Performing the Duties of Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Mara Karlin met with Director General Henning Vaglum, Department of Security Policy and Operations, Norwegian Ministry of Defence; and Norwegian Ambassador to the United States Anniken Krutnes at the Pentagon, Mar. 23.
The leaders discussed their countries' respective defense strategies, contributions to NATO, and opportunities for deeper cooperation on shared priorities. PTDO Deputy Under Secretary Karlin thanked Director General Vaglum for his steadfast commitment toward shared security and emphasized the two countries' strong defense relationship.
